Any Beach Hunting Tips

I am going to be taking a Trip down to Galveston, Texas at the end of the month with the family for the weekend to relax and spend time with my oldest son since he leaves for Coast Guard Boot Camp after High School in June.
Plus, I want to take some time to comb the beach with my Dēus, but I have zero experience with beach hunting and would appreciate any tips or tricks that will help me have fun and find some good stuff!!

Ok thanks!! I tried searching but guess I'm too old for technology sometimes!! I will be staying across from Babe's beach in a friends condo. I have never been beach hunting and recently upgraded my detector this year to the aDēus and still learning it. I live so far from the beach I don't get there often most of the time I'm going the opposite direction. Thanks for helping an old Grunt out I'll keep searching if not I'll have fun walking the beach trying. I was told: Beep Beep Dig never fails. Semper Fi and have a great day!!
