any idea on button age??

Found this button while detecting a old area in a field its has been used since the 1700's anyone have any idea of its kaker or type? there is no markings on back if there is i cant see it loop is missing and it is smaller then a us dime. thanks for your help.sas

Are those letters on the front or just decorations?

It looks like an early two piece which would put it somewhere in the area of 1820-1830

You gotta get the surface more visible....Boil some peroxide and throw it in...
