Any input on the NEL Hunter & AT Pro combo????

Just picked up a AT Pro and considering the Hunter over the stock. I've used the NEL Tornado on a Vaquero and was impressed. So is anyone using this combo and what kind of results? I mostly relic hunt with little coin in between. I usually relic hunt MS where the soil is a lite mineralization. One reliable source here says he gets a couple more inches with his setup. Anyone else using this combo?? I see the Tornado on the AT Pro but not a Hunter.

I have the Attack & Tornado coils-both larger than the Hunter.

I rarely use anything else. If I m on a mineralized rock beach the Tornado handles better. But for open / hunted out dirt the Attack is my go to coil for the AT Pro.

The AT has a very fast response & it allows me to hear small targets in iron as well as the smaller AT coil does. That is saying a lot & it proved itself yesterday finding a 1920's lead toy football figure that is smaller than my thumbnail-in a iron laden mineralized soil area. Eraser caps hit hard & a nickel air tested over 15"...But that doesn't happen in my soil-maybe 8" is more realistic.

I hunt with disc at 33 or lower in Iron sites. If I get a solid response that id's anything higher I give it further inspection. Using the toe of the DD coil it can isolate smaller targets very well.

For relics I'd go with larger-for coins/jewelry I'd go the smaller route.

how is the balance using such a large coil? I am considering it... do you need the upgraded/longer sling?

/ been out 2 hours this year and found a peter stone .925 ring... got 27$ for it! not bad for 2 hours.
