Any Minelab Customer Service personnel on this site?

Minelab's customer service response is non-existant. Called, emailed, left messages no answers and no replies. Actually one time was connected with a Manager, asked her my question....her reply...I don't know anything about the machine. You gotta be kidding....a manager and doesn't know the machines.

At the same time I placed this on the forum, I also emailed Minelab complaining to them about their poor customer service as far as returning calls or emails. Within 20 minutes I received a call from someone who seemed to care and he said I'll receive a call tomorrow from the appropriate rep as that do care about their customers. Will let you know.

I just went through this as I had a defective 705. You are right. I didn't get answers to e-mails or voice mails. You have to be persistent with them. The customer service manager that ended helping me is a guy by the name of Ewout something. His direct # is 630-401-8156. I also spoke to a woman by the name of Trina who was very upset that noone responded to me and vowed to kick some butt. her # is 702-473-8730. Don't give up.

Good luck

Bill

I e-mailed yesterday about the 5x10 DD 18.75Khz coil that has been on back-order for a month and they got back to me within two hours.Good customer service = SUCCESS

True to their word, I was contacted by phone today by a service tech and he answered my inquiries and of one thing he wasn't sure and said he will investigate it and get back to me tomorrow on that question. Good to see they are working on improving their customer service.

Rec'd a 2nd call tonight from Kevin in Nevada. He had my answers. One was about waterproof coils and he informed me if the coil can be seen thru, they are expoxy filled and waterproof. This includes the 10.5" DD coil.

As mentioned before, there is a lot of good information in the FAQFAQ section at the top of these posts. Like this one..... http://www.findmall.com/read.php?55,1068029,1068029#msg-1068029

Yep, it is an open DD coil. Maybe the Rep you talked to had more information. I just posted what the VP of Minelab told me, as provided to him by product engineers. HH Randy
