Anybody have any luck at Pine Island , FL. ?

I went out to Pine Island yesterday. That place is super CLEAN ! The only things I found in the water were two pull tabs ! Most of the water is only about three feet deep and really clear. So, if anything was dropped , it'd be really easy to see it and pick it up. In the dry sand I found a whopping .37 cents and one junk earring ! I helped a woman look for her watch she had lost three days earlier , but no cigar. The day wasn't a total waste , the kids had fun swimming , and I saw a bunch of porpoises , one sting ray , and a sea turtle that measured about two feet across ! Got about five feet from the turtle before it took off. Really cool ! Anybody ever have better luck there ?

I was there a while back. Visited my wifes cuz in Wiki Wachie. Hunted it four days, a few coins & one pc. junk jewerly. Beautiful place, very well kept. Will be taking the RV down & will be back there again. YOU NEVER KNOW. LOL

Ahh... the club hunts would explain alot. The place is very well kept. And a five dollar flat rate fee to park is fair. Good place to snorkel. But, could probably leave the detector at home. thanks for the replays guys.

I have hunted there for years, I have a total of 3 gold rings and about a dozen pieces of silver. I have been ther when there are 8 people in the water at one time detecting.. The good thing there is plenty of real estate to search there. Good Luck and HH!!
