went out looking for some old gold mines with a buddy and his x70, he was checking out a target in a small stream, asked for me to check, , looked to me like a big piece of iron with high and low readings, said 7 in. told him he probably had 2 ft to dig yet, so he pulled his purple hand out of the water and said maybe another day,it was 28 deg. in the morning when we headed out, well my t-2 started to act real weird after that, now this is fresh water will the coil be OK after it dries out? i know these are suppose to be water proof, but had read a fella lost his coil to the salt water on a f75, i know that salt will ruin it once inside, i would think fresh water would be OK once dried. i didn't watch the Feo2 before i sunk the coil, but the GB was any where from 61 to 89 over a couple of feet, and talk about hot rocks. cant wait to get back out, a little better planning with a topo map, the hills and valleys were very steep with cliffs ranging to about 500 ft. up and down, which was our path, we could have eliminated some of that
