I like mine. I wish this had been available when I first entered the hobby back at the end of 2003. Can't find anything better below $200
I used mine some the weekend before last. Stock coil air tests a dime with a good solid high tone to 8". Nickel hold a good solid nickel tone out to 9". Quarter out to 10". They can be heard further out, however about a half inch past the depth I listed the tone starts to drop.
The little 7" concentric coil is a sweet little coil. I need to put it on my F5 and see what it air tests at. Think I'll do that tonight.
No trouble with any EMI.
Thought I'd see if anyone else had swung one yet.
I'm pretty sure it will become the entry level detector of choice pretty quick.
