I would like to know how it is working for you..and any EMI Issues..

As i see it there is a lot of talk about them , But i do not think many have got one yet..

Hello, i just bought a new T2 classic with 9.0 firmware installed
i have NO emi issues at all, even at home with wifi and all the rest it's pretty quiet.
In the new models the emi protection have been improved (confirmed by FTP tech support)
With my Racer was almost impossible to make an air test in my room, with the T2 i have no problems at all.
My thoughts are that the newer T2 got the DST even if it is not declared on the package.

It is working 'excellent' for me and my hunting needs, and that means using the 5" DD coil 95% of the time. However, whether in a remote ghost town, at a few urban city parks, or right here in my home, by the TV and computer and all the other possible electronic and electrical annoyances I have, there is virtually no EMI. At the worst encounter yet I was able to adjust the Sensitivity to the '85' to '90' range w/o a problem, and in most sites I have run it at '99' just to check for any noise. Very quiet, even with the stock 11" BiAxial DD coil.

I am out-the-door in 4 minutes at 6AM for a day-run ghost town trip and my T2 w/5" is ready to perform ... as expected! A great detector and unbelievable value, too.

True Keppy ..but the info we just received sounds good to me. Thanks guys.

I have an early non-serial number T2 and I'm most happy with it.
I paid more for mine then the "New" so I know it's gott'a be better :starwars: :)

how about the new 500.00 T2 is it a cheeper model . can it get the same depth?

new 'Classic' T2 even more than the earlier T2's I owned. Mainly because this time I have the 5" DD for my trashier sites, but added to that it has as much depth, or a little more functional depth, and it is more stable than my earlier units. Better TID and audio responses with higher Sensitivity settings w/o noise and instability .... and without any loss of depth of detection.

It's not perfect, but for $499 + the Accessory Bundle to get the 5" DD, it is a very tough package to beat at that price point.

I've got the new T2 Classic and a 5" CORS Sharp coil that is very well built and suprisingly deep for such a small coil. I haven't been to my ghost town site with it yet but so far I can run at 99 sens and it is very stable. I usually find it runs the best at 70-80 sens with stock coil.

I really like mine. The only EMI issues I have is a local park with a radar base mounted on it. Most my detectors struggle with the EMI here, no problem anywhere else. The 5" coil is great on it, the 11" coil is a bit large for my spots due to the trash, but is really deep. I dig 11-12" coins in the right conditions (low VDI, but good tone at those depths). I use the 5" the most as I hunt old iron filled sites and get 6-7" easily.

The machine is deep, fast and easy to use. Batteries last a very long time. I like the tone options for different styles of hunting. It is a great machine. I have never used the original to compare, but I sure like the re-release.

never owned the original so don't know about it but I do own the new T2 classic . just got it and very impressed with Depth , ID and tones have dug wheats at well over 10 inches here in north Texas . ID's bottle caps pretty well I just need a lot more time on it . In my opinion for me its a keeper . I want a smaller coil so I think I am going with the NEL snake coil as I have one for my AT Pro and it is a killer coil . only issuer I have so far with it is the screen has some lcd black marks on it That I have caused as I wanted to put a screen saver on it and as I was applying it seems like the liquid crystal bled a tiny small amount but I can live with it
