General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Anyone dealt with TCMetalDetectors?

I recently (11/10/09) & (11/24/09) ordered from them and have not gotten any confirmation of my order, tracking number,credit card invoice, or had any of my E-Mails answered... Is this S.O.P. for this business? Thanks for your input..
 
I hate to say it but yes. I had some major issues with TC and a Vaquero. I will not do business with them again, Beale.
 
If you don't mind me asking... how was your issue resolved? I have still not recieved ANY response from TCmetaldetectors concerning my order.

Tony, if you're out there... how's about letting me know if those items are to be shipped, or should I cancel my order.
If this order is cancelled, how do I verify that that is indeed what has transpired..My faith is fading...
 
please keep us posted on what transpires with your dealing with tc detectors. i have read about other people have similar problems. a simple phone call or email would take less than 5 minutes and keep a customer up to date and happy. if this deal continues to drag along tony may lose business as it doesnt take long for word of outh to spread concerning deals like this. i hope all ends well and you get you items this week.
 
A few years ago I ordered a brand new detector from TC, and was very pleased. The business recently moved somewhere else, and it's been tough for him, but this is no way to be treating customers. This is going on for months. I'm just as upset because I felt comfortable ordering from TC and was ready to buy a bunch of accessories for the holiday season. There is no way I'd order from them now.

Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer to get a Sunray probe from?

I would like to order elsewhere... but... I'm locked in this warp of not knowing if my order with TCMetalDetectors will be filled...I don't want to possibly have TWO Sunray X-1 pinpointers and TWO Land Sharks on order and possibly on my Credit Card.
I'm going to wait this out and see how it goes. I'm just a bit curious as to how it will play out. Thanks for your responses!!

It took me about 3 months to get my MD. This was after many e-mails and calls. I will not do my business with TC again, Beale.
 
I had a VERY bad experience with this place, but was extremely thankful when I did get my new machine. Why was I so thankful? Because I never thought I would get it.
 
I did the typical " Check all threads for these folks " AFTER there were NO responses to my E-MAIL requests for confirmation..I've even gone to the friendly forum "across the street" (where these folks are sponsors), seeking information or confirmation of my suspicions... Again, my inquiries were AFTER the fact...OOOOOPS!!! SHAME ON ME!!!
 
A word of advice. If you are buying a particular brand machine or product, contact the company and let them know what's going on. They will put the heat under this guy if he's licensed to sell their products. It makes them look bad, and they don't want that!
 
I have decided to cancel any/all orders with TCMetalDetectors. I want to thank all of you who responded to this thread, it made my decision much easier and also gave me the information necessary to make a valid order with a reputable dealer...Rod
 
I finally heard from Tony, today (Dec. 21). He wondered if I had recieved my shipment yet. I appreciated the call and the excuses... but... it.. was... all.. just a tad .............................. late. Thanks, TCMetaldetectors
 
I once ordered a Sunray probe by doing a Google search for the product, finding it and putting in my credit card information... and I didn't hear anything at all for a week. I felt a lot like the folks here, wondering if I had gotten some bad advice regarding the seller. I sent numerous emails without hearing anything and made calls that went unanswered.

It turned out that the seller had posted a planned absence on his website, but since I didn't go through the home page to get to the product, I never saw it. The seller actually answered my pleas to hear something while traveling when he saw one of my frantic emails...

Hopefully your situation will be similar, but I had never considered that by using a search engine to home in on an Internet product would bypass a home page notice.
