Anyone ever compare the depth of a Sovereign against the Explorers/E-trac?

Mojave

Just curious. I've read so many stories about the Sovereigns depth potential, but I know the Explorers and E-trac do well on depth as well.

I had a thread asking the same thing back several months ago on here before buying a GT. Do a search for it as many posted comparisons. I also searched the forums for any comparisons and found most people thought they were pretty well even in depth, with some thinking the Explorer had a slight edge and yet others thinking the Sovereign did. The new GT also goes a little deeper than older Sovereigns so keep that in mind when reading any negative comparisons with older ones, though those were still split even between them for the most part. I've even heard a few Etrac guys think the GT got the same depth with the same size coil. In fact, one guy just PM'd me that he got rid of his Explorer and Etrac because the Sovereign ran smoother and was deeper IN HIS GROUND. Results may of course differ based on location. The true edge goes to the guy who knows one of these machines the best. Better depth could be had by any one of them with the right coil or under the right conditions. For instance, many swear BBS works better than FBS on many beaches or in certain land conditions. Depends on many variables like above, how the planets line up, etc. Put it this way. Throw the right larger coil on any one of these machines and it should outclass the others using their stock coil. It's a matter of being that close between them from what I've read.
