Hi, I guess we're all in kind of a lull this weak. Don't tell me. You (and I) don't have time to go out hunting cause we need to be doing the Christmas thing.?:| Gee whiz, I just thought of that all on my own.:crazy:I guess it's not Rocket Science though. Well, I hope everyone has a nice Christmas, and you all get that extra, coil or cool tool of some kind from Santa. Take care and everyone have a Merry Christmas, and let's all have a Happy New year, one filled with good keepers.:yo::clapping::|
 
Wishing you a great next year too Beachguy. Looks like we've definitely got nearly 2 weeks off, so we will be hitting the beaches with our detectors, that's for sure! Going to do all the relaxing things like, snorkling, diving, detecting (underwater and on the beach), fishing, just plain relaxation. My goal: to find a gold ring, a pre-decimal coin, an unusual relic, and catch some fish for dinner!

I was out two times this week for a couple hours, after work Monday and Thursday and got completely skunked both times. Not even a wheatie. I knew I was due for a good skunkin after such a good weekend last weekend. Hopefully I will redeem myself Saturday morning.

Not even close, I have acres upon acres to re-check with that small coil. Just in the parks around here I could probably spend the next three seasons covering areas that have produced in the past. And who knows by that time there might be a whole new type of detector technology out there and I'll have to start all over again.

It seems to be doing a good job. I need to get busy with mine. Hope the weather doesn't get too bad up there. Were looking at mid twenties tonight.
 
Yea, Rainy, you "deserve" to get your "you know what" kicked after what you just pulled off.:| You know I'm still "eating my heart out" after that one... Well, I guess it can happen to the best of you guys, but, you know there's always a better day ahead. Thanks, for the post, I was getting pretty lonely out here. I thought all you guys "took a leave of absense" for the hollidays":| Well have a Merry Christmas anyway, and and send us the "next set" of pics on the next "killer hunting day". I know you'll have it again. Marc.
 
Rainy, you have a great attitude. I think I'm starting to see some of the reasons your so successful. Keep it up, and your encouraging me and I'll bet some others too. Your right, right when we think we've cleaned it all out, they'll come out with the "monster new detector" that'll tell you "exactly" what your digging and go about 10 feet deep.:| Darn, we'll have to go over all the past sites once again.:cry: Take care, Marc.
 
That sounds like a wonderful plan Golden. Then, once you find that ring, the next time some, "unbelieving" tourist confronts you with: "Gee, do you really ever find anything "good" with that thing"???, you can just "whip out that gold ring, the pre-desmil coin, and anything else of value and say, "Yea, I just thought I'd spend an "hour or two", collecting money for my Lexus payment here at the beach", "didn't really need to, but I just wanted to blow your tourist minds" with a little loot from Davy Jones Locker." How's that sound for "retaliation" for all the crazy questions they ask you out in the field? I'm sort of kidding, but not completely. I know Mike from Virginia Beach, used to do that, and scare people half to death. I'd love to get to that point in my "metal detecting career".:|
 
In all seriousness, Golden, I hope you both have a great vacation and find some really great stuff. That sounds like a grand time to me, and you don't even have to spend your "2nd mortgage payment" on a plane trip. What a deal, I mean, lets face it Golden, you live in a country that people spend "big bucks" to buy that "plane ticket" to come down there to visit. Why not do what your doing, and just enjoy the trappings of a great place to live.? I'll be "expecting" some great pictures in the near future.:|
