ANYONE HAD A COINSTRIKE APART?

A FRIEND OF MINE TRIED TO REPLACE THE SPEAKER IN HIS COINSTRIKE. HE BROKE THE FIBER OPTICS. ANY HELP???

You sure its fiber optics? Im an electronic tech and have never seen that used in a detector. I need a pic then I could tell whats up and how to fix it.

I'm electronic tech #2 and I second the electronic tech#1 observation. I have never heard of fiber optics which is used for HIGH frequency operations; never low frequency operations.

Turns out-you are correct. The fiber optic cable is for the backlight on the display .

there are many fiber optics. it looks like they make all the led readout work

i got it to work. but he cut the ribbon to the ctrl buttons. now i need one of those to finish it. i emailed fisher a week ago. but i guess they dont answer their emails. i wish it was a garrett or a whites
