Anyone heard about forest fires up in northern lower Michigan???

Pete in MI

New member
Sherry says she heard on a Christian radio station this morning that there is or are forest fires that are causing Grayling, MI to be evacuated.

That is just north of us by about a half hour drive...we can't find anything anywhere about a forest fire.

A wind change could send us scurrying to safety if this is true.

Sherry says 1600 acres had already been burnt, they had evacuated 40 some homes towards Grayling...strange there is nothing about this

I will be praying for your family and friends and the people that had to evacuate, to stay out of harms way.

I heard the other day we were dry and there were a few fires around. Check the news, and let us know!

we did have a fire ban on for awhile because it was so dry. With Department of Natural Resources determining the bans...I could only surmise that if there was an out of control fire it was probably 'a controlled burn' on a dry and windy day by....Department of Natural Resources. (The ones in control of our state parks).

Glad all is safe.

I am glad you are safe and that you stay safe from fires and any other disaster! Hope you and family are doing much better and over the flu, even Casey!

God Bless!
