Anyone in southern Wisconsin ?

Not there any longer. Was in Madison for a couple years. The best detecting I ever had was in the town of Milton, WI. They were tearing up the streets and I got to hunt the place they were dumping the soil. Many Civil War uniform buttons (there had been a civil war military camp there) many mid 1860's coins
and there's still a college there that was founded before the Civil War. If you go there, let me know how you do with these new machines. : )
 
Yeah. It was in back of a farmhouse about three miles from town, heading north. (I think)
Ask around, I'm sure someone will tell yuh.
Might also ask permission at that college and in the town.
 
I'm in Janesville, and this one just hit my "hot button", I'm gonna check it out.
