Anyone know more about this???

I haven't paid to much attention, but some of it concerns even dry sand hunting. If anything it will cut down on pirate hunting in certain areas.

Mel Fisher will not be able to get anymore permits along the beaches. This will open alot of beaches back up for metal detector again.Places where Fisher had permit, he will not be able to get a permit again. There is a lot of places on the east coast of FLA. where we can't hunt because Fisher has PERMITS OR LEASES in the area and detector are not aloud. So this might be a good thing for us.

As far as I know dry sand and wet sand was never off limits to metal detecting because of the leases. Leases applied only to items under water.
