Anyone rig a decent recharge setup for the PI Pro?

Thinking of getting a PI Pro as a backup but don't like the idea of messing with cells--especially pricy recahargables.
Any ideas?
Appreciate any replies.

go to towerhobbies.com and do a search for lithium charger and lithium battery. get the great planes li-poly charger for 24.99 and the kokam 3 cell 1500 mah battery pack for 37.99
you will need a 12 volt power supply to use the charger.

rechargeable lithium polymer batteries are the same cells used in newer model cellphones and portable electronics. they have very high capacity together with very light weight compared to nicds or nimh cells.
each li-poly cell produces an average of 3.7 volts. 4.2 volts at full charge and 3 volts when it is exhausted. for example, a 12 volt pack will only need 3 cells to produce 12.6 volts at full charge and an average of 11.1 volts during use.
the main advantage of li-poly batteries is that they will hold a charge literally for years on standby and give you the same performance as the day you charged them. they also have far greater capacity than nimh or nicds compared to weight.
the disadvantages are that they have a different form factor (shape) vs. regular batteries and that they require a specific charger.

One thing to keep in mind about Lithium batteries is they can be much more dangerous because they can explode if charged improperly. That is the reason for so many warnings on them.
Today, some Li Ion batteries now come with a specific protection module connected to the battery module that will limit the battery charge and discharge voltage and current of each battery in the module, thus providing a considerable amount of protection. Unfortunately, not all batteries come with this feature.
so, if a person is going to use a Lithium battery they should learn as much as possible about them to avoid problems.
