Anyone testing the New Goldbug yet? Looks like an interesting variation of the newer Tek line.

Hi Bill,

I've been hoping to get my hands on one but as seems to be the case with Fisher these days product annoucements are ahead of actual product. I do like what it is offering for a very attractive price, but time will tell just how good it is. If it performed just like the original Gold Bug but with the addition of a good iron discrimination I'll be very happy with the unit.

Thanks Steve,

I'd look forward to any information you can provide, especially trying it for some of your local park/beach hunting, as I know you do with some of your units. My main interest as always is how it behaves as a jewelry hunter, as the only gold I really have around is accessible by powered dredge only.

I have read a lot about Steve's experiences going back to his GoldMaster II days and Alaskan hunts. His opinions and experiences are like gold itself, a valuable amount of information for gold detecting. It will be interesting to see how the new Gold Bug does with it's change to the original frequency while being able to also hunt general coins and relics. It sounds good on paper..........
