I have one coming I picked up on the E Bay auction and wonder what those that have used one thought of it.
I used a concentric on my Sovereign GT last summer as a field test and was very surprised at how well it worked and how deep it went, hoping this one for the Explorer will work as good.

Thanks for any info on this coil from those that have used one can give me.

Rick

I have one and it has a great pinpont, It always find one coin that the DD missed, the ID is perfect under 6 inches, more than 6" I go by the tone only.

Matter of fact I prefer to use it over a DD in good dirt because like Arturo said ... it pinpoints great. I'm convinced it hits deeper in good dirt than the DD too ... and it's well built.

Rick, I use the sunray stealth X-8 coil. It is a very reliable coil, and has great depth too. I'm sure you will be happy with the performance of your 8" coil. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

I have many very junky areas where I think trying a non DD coil might pull a few more coins.

Let me know what you find out.

I did a field test of a Concentric coil on my Sovereign GT last year and found it did hit a lot better and also hit many coins I missed with the Explorer with the Joey coil and the stock coil. I was impressed and when I seen this 8 inch one for the Explorer for sale I just had to try it.
Time it gets here the weather will have changed so I wont be able to detect until spring to see how it really works. It was 67 degrees up here in ND today which is unheard of this time of the year.

This is not a typing error is it folks?
Sounds very very interesting...

Any comments on how these coils behave with Explorers?
