Anyone using the 5.5" Sunray Coil!

I have been using my 8 inch coil to clean up an area in playgrounds, and it still takes quite a bit of time to do a thorough job.
I am wondering if the 5.5" Sunray would be the way to go. Any one using it that cares to make a comment?
Thanks
Roy

I've got one and used it a few times in the really trashy areas, like around old farm houses. IMO it's great! Pinpoints on a dime(pun intended). It works between the trash and finds good targets where the larger coils get confused. I used the stock coil in a section of yard that was littered with bits of aluminum trash and other high conductive junk. I found a few coins and old toys, etc... I went back over the same area with the SR 5.5 and it was like I hadn't even hit it yet! I found quaters, wheats, dimes, and a token, that I had missed with the stock coil. It don't cover the ground very quickly but if you're using it in trash, you'd want to go slow anyway. It's a great tool for the EXP II arsenal.

Hi Roy,
I have had the 5.5" coil for about two months and got out recently to hunt an old park. I used it to search around large trees that were loaded with screw caps and pull tabs. The machine just sounded off steadly but now and then I heard a very quick silver or penny sound, just like a whisper. I found many early wheatbacks and two Mercury dimes around these trees. This park has been pounded for years yet I came out with a handfull of coins.

Thanks a lot fot the inputs!
The coil is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Looks like I'll be giving Terry a call at Detector Depot.
