Going to be trying this setup. f19. With Ultimate 13" ....had a few questions to ask someone using this setup to relic hunt with...thank you for your time. joe

I’m living in Alabama, using a detech 13 on my t2 and also using a nel tornado on my g2. So,I run a couple similar setups to what your describing.

Wondering if I got a new Ultimate bad coil...using a nickle to test with....any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...joe

I use that combo (F19 and Ultimate coil) as my main beach setup. I like it a lot. I have found a few relics through the years but mainly in parks and old school yards. Since targets abound in these areas compared to the beach, I'd rather use a smaller coil like the stock 11 DD or even smaller. The Ultimate just can't separate targets as well which is to be expected.

I tested the Ultimate for depth when I got it many years ago. On my F19 in all metal, it would yield a solid 2 - 2.5 inches more on larger targets than the stock 11 DD coil. My F19 came with that coil, not the 5 X 10.
