I honestly don't see the purpose/advantage of the Hunter coil for the F75. It is the same size as the factory biaxle coil. NEL makes coils for a lot of manufacturers and many of the manufacturers don't offer a coil in the size/shape of the Hunter....but the F75 and T2 come stock with it. I think the real gem of the NEL coils is that they also offer coils in other sizes that are not available from the factory for F75/T2...such as the Tornado or Storm. The one plus to the NELs of the same size as the stock biaxle is that they are shielded a lot better than the factory coils...which makes them a little less prone to EMI. Otherwise, unless my stock coil was going bad, I wouldn't even consider the Hunter for the F75. I have the standard F75 that did not come with the 5" round coil...so that's why I have a NEL 5" round one. Simply because it was cheaper than the Fisher factory 5". I can run it at 99 sensitivity in my house...no chatter.
The Tornado is a bit more chattery but goodness that thing is a bad mamma jamma. With the snow and ice, I've not had a chance to get out in the field with the Tornado yet. Just air tested it. I can only run it to about 80-85 sensitivity in the house...but at those settings and disc set at 6, it air tests a minie ball with a very consistent repeatable beep at 15 inches...and at about 16 inches with just an occasional beep. This is just the standard F75 without BP mode. When I run it to 99 sens in JE mode, I can get it about 16.5 on the minie.
I also had a Ultimate 13" coil that is the same size as the Tornado. On the same minie ball, it would only air test it to 13.5 inches but that test was done OUTSIDE with the Ultimate, and at 99 sensitivity!! .
