I didn't get to hunt much the last 2 weeks. Term papers due and final to study for. I have been hunting an old school that is now a cultural center. It was originally the "colored school" before integration. It functioned as a middle school from the middle sixties until 2004. All my finds in April are from there. I only found 3 silver coins, 1935 Merc, 1935S Merc and 1947 Roosevelt. Also 2 Rosco's. Sorry the pic is bad. the auto focus on my camera is not doing so well. I also found 5 wheat in one hole. Clad totals, 227 cents, 12 Jefferson 5 cents, 82 clad dimes, 20 clad quarters. All three of the silver dimes were from the old volleyball area. The ground is worn down about 3 to 4 inches below the level of the rest of the yard. I have been hunting with the 6x9 coil for the first sweep. I will step up to the 9x12 for th 2nd go round. 3 week off till summer sessions start so I'll get some serious detector time in the rest of the month.
