Picked up this nice 14K and silver yesterday with the Aquasearch. Both sounded excellent even the silver which was down a good 8-10" in the hardpack.

Love that PI......

Hey Mike, Great finds. One question. I just purchased a new Aquasearch and saw how you pole mounted it. It's a very nice neat job. I also would like to do mine the same way. It looks like you put a new top portion of the rod to accommodate the unit. Where did you get this and what can I do to fix mine. I can't stand it around my waist either. If you built it yourself, would you build me one? I would gladly pay you for it. I haven't used mine yet and am waiting for a chance to use it. Thanks in advance, Jack

Mike you have the drive it takes to find the Gold, That is a lot of iron. Daytona has very little iron at this time and is still giving up some gold.

Also found a nice silver necklace yesterday, Really love the Aquastar,

One queston i have for anyone on Florda beaches that may be using a Aquastar is this: I have found to keep from picking up the salt water while in waste to chest deep water i have to turn my sat up to almost max, Is now quiet { somewhat} but does not go as deep. One the wet sand running sat around half seem to get a lot more dept but when in the water the rise in threshhold is so constant it is undetectable.

What settings work for others, I do want to keep the delay at min. for the small stuff.

Thanks for any input. I did find 5 gold in first 6 ,2 hour hunts < great machine

If memory serves, Tom in Cocoa may have had a Aquastar and he's just south, so the conditions are similar. You may want to try and email him and see what his experiences were. I'm not sure he still has one, but I doubt he'd mind answering your questions if he did. I had a Aquasearch for a while, which I very much liked, but gave up on after the hurricanes because we were so littered with iron and I grew weary of digging 10 iron to 1 good target. As you know, it's much better now that the sand has come back in. What areas of Daytona do you hunt and when, lammi? I'll look for you out there.
