Eric,
I have owned Aquastar #18 since I purchased it new many years ago from Bill. I have several questions for you should you find the time to answer them (anyone else here who may have the answers are welcome to comment of course.) I haven't used the Aquastar in awhile and discovered that forgetfulness comes with age.
1. On the circuit board there are three potentiometers. I have long since lost my manual and forgot which is which. The top one is volume I think. Nevertheless, if you have time would you clue me in on each one as to function and settings?
2. My original coil failed for some reason (got very noisy and after repeated attempts to reterminate it gave up.) Bill recently sold me a used Goldquest SS 11" coil that seems to work fine, although I can't compare it to the original coil that you built for the Aquastar. I also have a 11" Deepstar coil that has a hair thin crack in it that I suppose I can epoxy. Is there any chance you might have a coil that you made for the Aquastar?--I would like to have one as a spare. Any comments as to the Goldquest SS, or any other coils that would work well with the Aquastar?
Thanks in advance,
Don
