To Eric Foster.
I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia.
I have found a lot of gold rings and coins using the sovereign and the explorer. I always hunt in the wet sand at low tide. After reading the PI forums the aquastar sounds like a good detector. I have not used a PI before and do not know anybody who uses a PI here. How much better is the aquastar on depth then the sov and exp on wet salt beaches.
The sov and exp do not have good depth on small gold rings or chains unless the chains are in knots.

Ken there are some air test posted on this forum. Use the "search" on the posted bar at the header and it will most likely be found that way...Frank
 
Thanks Frank I found the post's you mentioned. Do you or anyone else know if anybody sells the AquaStar in Australia, or anyone who uses one here. Also how much is the AquaStar to buy?
 
I am not qualified to tell you the difference in our and your money and the differences in taxes your country may put of no put on incoming products. There is a fellow there that owns a Aquastar and had it for sale. Terry in Hawaii knows his name and address. I do not know the reasons for why he want to sell it and it is the only one in the world I have ever heard that was for sale used. I understand that Eric Foster came to Australia and went out into the gold fields to design a PI for working in the Aussia Gold fields so he knows your MD problems well. Bill Crabree, one of the sponcers of this forum I am sure can help you and his site and address it one of the headers on this page...Surfscanner. Also Efic Foster and Terry Crenshaw check almost everyday on this net for post...You are in the right place. Goo--day Mate....(grin) Frank (Just had to do that)

The detector has been sold. The beaches I frequent had too much iron, with hard compact sand. I was unwilling to constantly dig numerous deep targets, after I had restrained my back. Detecting is great, but so is walking.
In fact it was Eric who helped me out by forwarding on an Australian request to him for info on the Aquastar. He certainly supports his customers in everyway!

Ken the price in US$2049=A$3776 with import duties and postage etc.I estimate the cost approx. A$5000 to A$6000 about the same as SDs and GPs if you have a friend coming from the US or UK to bring one in for you, may be you could save a little.

No Chris, that price is way too high.
If Kris contacts Eric, gets a price, and does his conversions he'll find its closer (was) to about AUS$3750.

Thanks George I was working out the price from the US I imported a surfmaster some years ago from Kellyco may be Eric has a special deal I found import duty the killer thanks to minelab.
