Are ther any diffrences in the tones in V2.0 and V3.1?

I'm really enjoying my Deus V3.1 but find the tones a little "edgey" LOL! I've tried adjusting the Hz 100-800 but can't seem to find a tone I like or is pleasant to use? Are there any more changes (downloads) coming from Deus to change this? Or is V2.0 more pleasant,tone wise?
 
The pitch of the tones are the same in both versions. The tonal quality is smoother in V2.0, whereas 3.1 is more clipped. IMHO if your a visual hunter stay with 3.1 and if your a tonal hunter 2.0 is better. again, this is my opinion...... other opinions will surely vary. Good luck!
