the only mod in my opinion worht bothering withis the remote pinpoint switch, I personally do fine with out it,I can easily click into AM/pinpoint with the way it camoes normally but some do enjoy the ease of flicking a switch mounted on the rod itself. The other thing would be a meter that reads on the 180 scale . The xs is a great unit ,and in my opinion it is the best one.

Is the only real mod I would do as anything else to the control box will not help the performance and only hurt it I feel. The 180 meter conversion is something I would do to the meter for IDing and maybe put the control box on a straight shaft for better balance. I got one traded in set up this way and it was the lightest feeling Sovereign I have ever seen.
