Yes, Joe have you had a chance to field test it? In your opinion, hows does it compare to the Advantage on performance (how deep it goes), what about target separation? What is the retail price on the 50?

Sure have been out playing,
Compared to the advantage there are some thing to consider Weight, Pinpoint, Performance, Tone & Visual Id. I can say, The X-terra 50 goes deep. I have dug targets at and more than 10 inches. Some of my testing has been in an Iron infested site and it seems the handle target separation well. also the 50 has an all metal you can run the detector in. I use in to check iffy targets to see if it is the head of a nail.
The price of the 50 respectfully is 699.00 MSRP, but you know how that is.
The price of the 30 respectfully is 499.00MSRP.

If I had to choose, It would be the 50.
More versatile.
Thanks for the Questions

I feel like that's what most will want to hear, how it compares to Advantage. If it is as good as other Minelabs it will be a hit. Regards,
Steve(MS)

having a much more comfortable grip angle (and grip 'feel'), and more target info and functional controls, I am finding it to hunt a little deeper in in my mineralized area than did the Advantage ... as well as some other lower-frequency detectors.

Target separation is better than most with a 9" or better coil and I hope to see a smaller coil available for trashy sites in the future.

There are four things that I personally look for in a metal detector that is going to 'fit' into my personal battery.

...seriously looking at it as an all purpose compliment to my X5.
Do we know when the 18.5 khz coils will be available?
