I have yet to find a shell with my Coinstrike but I have found them in the past with my 1266.
Can someone here tell me how the Cointstrike will react to a burried shell? I know the 1266 would give me a good signal. It would give a good signal even with a large fragment. Im not sure if the tone ID would be canceled out or if due to the size of the shell the Coinstrike would register a high number and give a good tone like the 1266 does.
I could do a burry test but I dont think burrying large iron would be a good test since a shell burried for a long time would also effect the ground around it.
I have never been able to use all metal mode with the coinstike. Maybe I need to experiment a bit and turn it way down but whenever Ive used it it doesnt stop beeping. Very annoying. I might as well dig everyting and sift
Any tips on all metal would also be appreciated.

That's the one negative I have on the C$. It's kind of like opera
But once you get used to it, it's not so bad. (The All Metal sound that is...not opera!) The newer models have an improved more "Mellow" tone.
