Thanks for the call & information.....Well everyone....Get your fingers ready...Your gonna have a newbie SE user here in a few days...:rage:...& I'm already trying to figure out questions I need to ask:rofl:....Just kidding...I've been detecting for a few (30+)years...just new to the Explorers...You all have already givin me a big jump start on the learning curve...:please:

Yes & I hope it's a good one...Be expecting it sometime soon...I'm not sure how much a dvd will help after reading all the excellent posts here on the forum, but any help is good help & if I have any problems I always know who to call:thumbup:...Thanks my friend...Tom

...is pretty good. I never had one until I got my SE and although it pertains to the Explorer II, the two are close enough that it doesn't matter. Of course there is a lot of it that's elementary, but it makes quick and easy work of "Learn", "Edit", saving custom program slots, etc. And there's a bit of technique discussion as well as some humorous moments and some nice field demonstrations. It's worth watching.

I'll be looking forward to it.....AFTER I get my 2nd silver coin...I have already downloaded & read a lot of the manual....Looks to me like I'll be busy for the next millenium...:rage:...Actually it doesn't appear to be all that difficult, at least to just get started... BUT it will definetly take some time getting used to the new tones, screens, & adjustments....Haveing NEVER used one of the Explorer series I'm really looking forward to learning how to get the most out of it...It appears as though the learning cycle here will be equivelent to getting a college degree time wise ie; AA, BA, BS, (Which MOST of you here HAVE)......LOL...& of course the MASTERS & PHD...At least study period will be fun...& of course RECESS...we all love that...I'm really looking forward to it...Tom

It's not that hard, really. You can even do the "turn on and go" thing for starters. As you get time with the machine you will see that it can be very easy to hunt with and it can also be programmed to do a lot of more advanced things if you like. I keep it simple...I run in Iron Mask with everything wide open and listen to it all and when I see something that looks good and sounds good I dig it. With experience you will learn what to ignore and what to key in on. It takes some time, as with any machine. Do not make the mistake of overpowering your machine...start out at about 20 at most...and always run your noise cancel. Watch that video...it will help.

Gophers bring up deep coins in some areas. I always hunt around areas with gophers.
