Spent a cold and windy few hours searching a couple of fields that were home sites marked in the 1874 atlas. Didn't stay long enough to find any coins or silver to brag about. 
Dug up a lot of mason jar lid scraps, a pair of Schrader tire pressure guages, and other assorted brass. The iron relic is neat, not sure what it is but it reminds me of a goose. The doll fragment and the sun colored glass are a couple of eye finds...they definately date the sites.
