AT GOLD - IRON SOUND on good targets...

Hello everyone,

I made a test field at june 2011, and buried several 50 eurocents coin at 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 centimeters (4,6,8,10,12 inches).

This test field has been ok until october 2011, when I came back at january 2012, and some days ago, I tried my atgold in the test field and no coins are recognised as good. My teknetics gamma 6000 only beeps 4 and (a little bit) 6 inches like a good target. With the AT GOLD, even the coin at 4" sounds like iron. In the next days I will try an AT PRO.

I set my iron disc at 35, iron audio on, sensitivity to max, threshold to 0 and the detector is properly ground balanced (i remember about 70).

How can it be possible?

Later I will post a video...

see you

I have no clue, as I do nto know the composition of the Euro coins....Is your soil iron infested, do the Euro coins have any iron or steel content? Was the soil wet???
All of these things can have an influence...

HH,

I just about to post a similar problem with AT Gold too.

Here's the issue...

I tested in a gold field by using All Metal Mode with Iron Audio on and Iron Disc around 35.

I used one rusted nail and a small nugget( 0.6 Gr.) for the test

When I passed the coil over a nail first , the iron sound emitted . Then I passed the coil over a nugget , it sound like an iron????

However when I reset the machine by turning off the machine and turn on again. If I passed the coil over a nugget first, the sound of good target was emitted. Then I passed the coil over nail, the sound of iron could be heard. But when I passed back to the nugget, it sounded off as an iron.

I have tried several times and the results were the same

So I think the Iron Audio is unreliable.

No, 50 eurocents are something similar to brass, it's called "Nordic gold"... I will make some video with at gold, at pro and I will try to estract the coins from the soil and put again into the same soil to see the difference...
