Today July 25th Saw a field available to me open for searching.Very flat no stubble could not have been better.Plenty of rubbish signals ! a caravan had burnt out leaving fragments in the field. BUT Two decent finds were made. The First a GEORGE 2nd Half Penny very worn plus a small Hawking Bell both are shown not deep. Used the T2SEset at 60 sens 10 Discrim and 2C which works very well when there is plenty of iron as in this field. Another find was several .303 Bullets cases fromWW2 and a modern buckle not shown

Brian, some nice finds, love finding any form of hawking relating items, had been checking my local permissions around me and the oilseed rape had been cut last weekend and wheat and barley should be from next week subject to the weather staying dry.But have a new Saxon permission of about 250 acres which i just cannot wait to get on which is right next door to a deserted plague village.

The rape field the stubble is like bamboo and cut to about 6-7'' tall, have to wear stout boots and take care of the lower legs or you can hurt yourself but at least the combines are getting ready to harvest the crops, then will have access to about 2000 acres of land to keep me happy for the winter months.

Bring it on
