AT Pro Coil flooding

overtone

New member
I have been using my less than one month old AT pro in the ocean and it has flooded 2 coils. After the most recent coil flood I rinsed It and let it dry out and it seems to work OK for fresh water lakes and land (not perfect I can tell the difference). Have any of you seriously used the AT pro in the salt ocean. I live in the northeastern US. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Hunted the saltwater several times with both my coils. No problems. Have you contacted Garrett? They have great customer service and will eagerly replace broken coils. Also, you should get a coil cover if you don't have one. It will save your coil from wear and tear and it will last longer.
