AT Pro Ground Balance

New member
Hello All,

I have had my AT Pro for about a month. I won a jackpot at a casino and bought it. I don't know how to GB it at 86 like I've been reading on the forums here. I hunt in both standard and pro at 35 iron discrim on zero mode. I've found silver rings on sandy beaches and lots of clad, but zero finds in the wet sand and shallow salt water beaches. The only other detector I've used is the ACE 350.

The auto ground balance is where it should be balanced. If all else fails read and follow the instruction manual. Actually do that the first thing. It is free on line at the Garrett website. There are also free instruction videos. You get people on here that spread false information. An 86 balance is for highly mineralized ground, not salt. Especially in harsh conditions the balance must be very close. If you want to manual tune, bury a test target and tune to that.
