At pro or AT gold

all iron

Member
Hey there all you Garrett users
I have been thinking about buying a Garrett because i want to get into the water
I live in Indiana and would only be in fresh water up to my waist hunting for jewelry and such at swimming holes

Questions: what is the the difference between the at pro and the at pro gold
which one would suit my needs the best?

Thanks

Both great machines but if you ever move or get the idea to hit the beach you'll want the At Pro . Otherwise the gold is nice as well. I have the pro its awesome dam thing is a ring magnet.

Either will work fine for you in the water. Just remember that the AT Gold can't be ground balanced in salt water like the AT Pro. The AT Gold will get you a little more depth in true all metal mode, if you are a dig it all kind of a hunter.
