ATX stock coil floppy

Can the search coil washer be replaced without sending it to Garrett ? Mine gets floppy real fast with a coil cover on it.

I have not heard of anyone taking the shaft/coil joint apart without cutting the post on the coil.
Call Garrett. Your two year warranty can't be up yet.
If I am correct in the assembly procedure of the shaft/coil, the post with the adjusting screw in it is heated and bent down over the pin that the coil rotates on and then the adjustment screw is put in place and tightened.
There is a Coil Support Bracket available on an auction site and there are discussions in the forum about the bracket.
