Auto-Manual Sensitivity On Safari

Two questions about Safari sensitivity. How do you change into manual sens? Number 2: how do know whether or not you are in manual sens or auto sens? I see that you can go into the menu and adjust the sens up to 20 and if you hold the plus button, auto icon is darkened. The manual does not seem to mention how to do this, but maybe I am missing something. Thanks
 
You set the sensitivity in the Menu the default is Auto, if you change it to 16 then you just changed it to manual & it will stay on 16 until you change it.
