Automax V4 Pinpointer?

Does anyone out there in tecter land use this pinpointer?

I use the V4 and I'm very happy with it. Never had any problems, it is a bit long but it does'nt bother me. I get about 1 to1 1/2 inches of depth which is pretty good.

I have had one for four years and it still works well. I broke the tip twice. So I shortened it. I took a tubing cutter to cut out a piece and put it back together with some shrink tubing. I like it a lot better now that it is shortened. I made a nice holster for it. I got my Automax for free when I bought my metal detector. I bought another detector and have a second Automax. It does the job for me and I would hate to be with out a pin pointer.

Thanks for the input. Can't wait for it to warm up here so I can get out and post a few of my own finds. I am ordering an ACE 250 and I just wanted to know if the extra 16.95 was worth it for the V4. I guess I will get it. Thanks again.

It's worth 16.95. Don't pay full price like I did lol.

You will eventually want a better pointer. Actually the Harbor Freight pinpointer works quite well, but the best is the Garrett propointer.

Heck yea, I'd jump on that in second. Those sell for $100+ normal price.
I have a V2, which is about the same. I've never had any trouble with mine so far,
and it works well. For the price, dang good deal.. I noticed another company
"the one I bought mine from", was running the 39.99 V4 special again with any tecter
purchase. That's the same deal I got with the V2, and it was worth every cent.
