Got some ice and a gold earing and assorted junk, the ring was my 3rd signal. makes for a great day. also a brass ? nail ?. So I figured my wife would be proud --- but I was not expecting it to fit and be confiscated. I was lucky to hold it for awhile and get a picture.

The spike is a ships spike used to hold wooden ships together, usually in copper or brass. They tend to shear when a ship wrecks but they don't rust away like an iron spike.
Possible old shipwreck off your beach??

Cheers,

Buy yer wife an Excal and tell her to go git her own. There's WAY too much surrendering of the booty to wives on this forum. To each is own, perhaps I'm just too covetous. Is that not a pirate trait? I'm OK right? Nice 1 though dude!

My ex-wife jumped ship right after I gave her one that was the same size carat wise...forget what it looked like EXACTLY, but looked real similar to the one in the pic....she also lived in the tidewater area the last I knew....Ya know what??? :clapping::rofl:
