I went to my daughters school today to show them my CW and Rev war relics. I did two clases about 40 minutes each. They loved it! So did I! Here I am with my daughter in front of the class!

Good going ! Wish more parents would get involved. Steve

talking to the students, as one of the club members was going to show stuff found while MDing at this son's school several years ago. So, I volunteered to help him and though he did most of the talking I also had coins and items in a case and the children really enjoyed it. Then having brought detectors for some to use themselves, they tried finding the coins that he had buried, but school was almost over for the day and they couldn't hunt very long! I found some of the silver coins later on while detecting the school!
The children are always interested in what I'm doing, as they always come around and ask what is that and what are you doing? Some are really funny and then are down with you trying to help you dig the hole!
There was two girls one day throwing quarters out for me to find and some boys had mounded up a pile of chips in the playground and had left 3 toy cars inside of it. They saw me coming up that way and left by going across the field. I found the cars easily, as they really sounded out but I just wouldn't take them, so left them in the pile of chips. I hope they came back and got them before someone else detected and maybe took them!
Most kids are really great and want to know and learn!
God Bless!
Betty
