Back to the park this morning...6 more goodies !!!

Headed back to the same area of the park where I scored the 5 keepers from yesterday. No silver today but was pleased to dig 5 Indian head cents and a buffalo nickel. The top center indian head was a three coin sandwich with the 1891 indian head, 1911 wheatie and a still unidentified wheatie stuck to the reverse of the indian head cent. That was my third multiple coin find of the weekend. Other indian heads are two 1906s, a crusty 1887, 1896 and 1898. The 6 coins from today and yesterday's 5 got me to my goal of 100 keepers for the year. Breakdown of the 100 coins is:1 capped bust half dime, 4 Barber dimes, 2 silver Washington quarters, 3 silver Roosie's, 9 mercury dimes, 1 Canadian silver dime (1871),13 V-nickels, 22 Buffalo nickels, 5 Jefferson "War nickels", 37 indian head cents, 2 Canadian large cents and 1 unidentifiable colonial copper. Wheat cent total for the years stands at 170.

That's really an impressive number of nickels. You must have their sound 'dialed in' very well. Are you able to tell them from tabs much, or do you go after the low tones in general? Really neat to find that many I think.
