I have thought about it!!! But haven't... My buddy Phil owns a E-trac, and a F70.. He uses the F70 in fields and makes some incredible finds! Are you thinking of picking up a Fishers??

I have an F75 but it just doesn't perform well in town or in mineralized ground. My EXII is much more stable and easier to use for coin shooting (and the tones are like a siren's song!). If I get the Fisher away from town, it's very good. I was just "arguing" in a post on the Fisher forum about QC problems with the F75 and it got me wondering how many people out there have an Explorer AND an F75. I'm wondering what their experience has been in comparing the two.

I understand,,, and good luck!!! Like i said... it's not a F75,, But Phil has the F70... You may ask him... Im sure you will get tons of post on this topic!!
Hope you dig some goodies soon!!!!

Lightweight, easy on batteries, seems to pick up pretty much everything my XS can. Has pretty much the same problems around EMI as the XS.

However it has a single line target ID instead of the 2 axis screen like the XS. And it is no better at IDing accurately and consistantly at depth or in trash than my XS. Basically have to dig much more with the F-75. Why Minelab went in this direction with the Etrac is beyond all comprehension.

Also loves crown caps and other round chunks of iron. Never thought after using the XS that any modern detector would have a problem with these; apparently many detectors do.

Basically a good back up detector, or to have one to loan out. I think in a site where one would dig anything above iron this would be an excellent machine.

I have a F-75 also along with my E-Trac and my Sovereign GT, I sold my Explorer SE Pro after i used the E-Trac as it worked so much better for me. The F-75 I found I like the smaller coil and using the 2 tones in some of the trashier site and done well with it. It is light weight and the batteries last forever it seems and is a nice back up detector but not the main detector for me.

I have the same question AND they went to a 1-50 when many 'tectors are 1-99 or more.

This is also why I hope the Vision is doing more than showing you all of the bad information it's gathered. By the looks of some videos I've seen, it might be just displaying bad information in better ways. I still can't get the psuedo-sine wave graph out of my head though - it makes me reach for my wallet :)

Back to the F75 - when I use it, I'm constantly saying "I WISH" followed by some imagined change with the detector (IE. I WISH it was more stable, I WISH I could use it at "this" site, I WISH the tones were easier on the ear, I WISH it wasn't in love with deep iron, I WISH you could notch a high number and not have it go apeshit with interference, etc. etc. etc.) -- When I swing my Explorer THE ONLY wish I ever have is, "I wish it was faster". I know some wish it was lighter, but I got used to the weight after only a few outings.

ONLY in places where the Explorer is just too slow for the amount of trash does the F75 come out.

Interesting opinions of the F75, though I have not used this metal detector only the T2,which is more different than I originally thought.

Brother,
If you wish your explorer was faster........
If you wish your F-75 was more stable.......

Maybe you should think about buying an etrac?

Brad

PS. The etrac is very 2 dimensional..........that straight line stuff is hype!
