BAD NICAD BATTERY IN SOVEREIGN WILL IT CAUSE THE DETECTOR TO RESPOND SLUGGISHLY??

......................DON'T HAVE A SPARE BATTERY AT THIS MOMENT......................... to try it and see if the response would be different! Another one has been ordered!!......................So does this sound like a battery problem or could it be something else inside of the control box??..................Thanks ......Joe

My battery turned to crap, and it would work decent for 20 minutes or sometimes less and the thing was so goofy, sometimes it would be slow to respond, sometimes it would make a noise like it was in AM , the one consistent thing was it was inconsistent.......I was sure something wasbroke, I got a New Nicad from Rons Dixie and the machine is perfect again......those batteries last about 500 charges and then they suck........

..................May not be a battery problem! Have been told that the Sovereign's respond more slowly than compared to say a Fisher! I Really don't know but the battery seems to work good so will just have to field test it soon!!................Thanks Joe
