Bad times are sometimes good times

At the gospel Rescue Mission where I work this eve a young man about 20 came down and was greatly disappointed. He said someone had told him he could get a bed for the night but that was not possible as we were full up, so he had to 'sleep on the street again' - in his own words.
He was very upset and threw his hat and such - I wanted to say something but thought "this is just what he needs to learn to take better care of his life". So I didnt do anything but another man in the program tried to comfort him. We did feed him before he left.
I think back to times in my life - and we all can probably relate - when the Lord didnt help me as I wanted Him to but in the end it worked out much better because of it. Old saying 'the Lord might not answer your prayers when you want Him to but He's always right on time'.
So when times are not what you want maybe there's a reason - Steve in so az

answers prayer. However it might not be the answer we want, and His time is different than ours. But He is still good all the time! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Amen, Steve, as I've found when things aren't going the way I want them to, it is when I need to draw closer to God, for when we draw nearer to Him, He draws nearer to us. Either we seek God in times of trouble or we blame Him for all our problems, which is usually created by us or those who don't know Jesus, as their own personal Savior! And we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose! Romans 8:28 (KJV)
God Bless!
