Baloon squeeking sound

Great observations squirrel. Conventional wisdom is that a one way good tone is probably iron falsing but I've noticed that just as often it can be a coin being partially masked by the iron which is why I always run the coil both ways even on an iron tone and I still dig the one way tone. A problem I've noticed while testing, is that depending on how nails are laid out, the nails and a coin can actually cancel each other out so you get no tone. I guess in nail beds you're just gonna lose some. I'm not a fan of the negative disc setting for the reason you gave. HH
