Bang! Bang! 4TH!

Had a couple hour hunting window this morning, so hunted a couple hundred yards of 2 1/2 ft wide sidewalk strips again. 1st target, a 37 wheat cent at 6a. 2nd target was the well worn 41 Merc at 6:10. These were followed by a few Memorial cents and pieces of junk. Was just about to call it a wrap a little before 8 when I got the 42 Washington. Hardly any quarters, clad or silver, has been showing up on this particular spot now for quite some time. It was about 4" deep right next to the street curb....as was the Merc. Omega with 5" coil, sen 99, 1 disc, d3 tones and g b of 53-55. Everyone have a great and safe 4th of July. God Bless America. HH jim tn

Nice work. I think the dirt next to curbs, sidewalks, and steps, are the most overlooked spots. Using your head paid off. Have a good holiday.

Some kid may have dropped them watching a 4th of July parade 70 years ago! Its really good to see you think this out and sucessfully adapt to conditions like Dave said. So you like that 5" coil? Do you think the 11" would have found them, or is it just too tight and trashy?
Mud

Not sure Mud. All I know is they were missed by countless others and myself using what ever. I have used the Omega with the 11" and 10" and 5"coils on good chunks of this site, but not every where and not the 5" and not the strips. The 5" on the Omega is one h**L of a coil. Thanks, all. HH jim tn

And since I found that to be true two+ years ago, my #1 optional coil IS the 5" DD on my Omega. Congrats on your success, Jim. Where do you stand now on US Silver for the year as we start the second half?

It's 105 today in Indianapolis. I am staying indoors. The lake shores should be lowering so I'll wait and see how much.

Way to go Jim.

BTW, Chris got a Omega.
