And what a nice welcomed serchcoil it is for my needs. I ran it with zero discrimination, multi-frquency. And it performed well. You see, I was metal detecting a river, which has a base of mixed gravels and cobles. So, I had to compete with hot rocks, minerals and multiple pieces of rusted nails, amongst other junk targets. The iron audio was turned down to one as there was so many annoying iron targets. The sensitivity was set at 6/8 for better stablity. These settings created a very stable audio, with great separation between targets and the ability to easily isolate higher conductivity targets like copper and silver.
The rings (#21 and #22 for this year) shown really made my day! The copper ring registeres numerically in the high 80"s and the 22K gold ring at 61. Both gave a strong distinct audio signal, in all directions, absent of iron audio grunts.
I found some more of those sports medallions. The mystery of these numerous found, different medallions remains?
And, yes.....I also got a nice amount of flour gold.
