Banks of the Wabash Treasures / 6 rings

all iron

Member
Went to the Banks of the Wabash River this morning.
Pulled out 6 rings!!!
I couldn't believe it!!!!
One ring was a 14 K gold wedding band at the tot lot.

The other 5 were within 12 feet of one another!!
some were still in their plastic baggies

What i realized,,, is i was hunting right on top of a previous jewelry vending stand from the yearly carnival.
None of these rings were anymore than pot metal but all shinny and new. It was really kinda fun to pull so much jewelry up in one short hunt.

This was also a great test garden if you will for trying to distinguish between pull tabs and junk rings

Most items rang up like iffy nickles
Using the Omega 8000
11 inch coil
ground phase 64
sensitivity 85
Discrim 55 ( just for fun )

PS; How often do you guys go back to the same tot lots / every weekend , once a month.... surely there are statistical studies out there in the world wide web that give indication as to frequencies of lost rings at a tot lot :bouncy:

Nice on the gold band. During the school months, I'll hit several of the same lots every weekend. Lots of mothers at school with the kids. HH jim tn

Congratulations! I'm like Jim...I'll run my regular "milk route" early weekend mornings during the season, the travel habits of wimmin and kids changes during the summer, ya gotta follow the herd you know..and try to scope out other likely places along the way, usually you can tell if somebodys been there or not pretty quickly, If they have, I work the perimeters and have done well there...HH
