Battery life question

Ed (Upstate NY)

Active member
How long should a full charge last when not in use ? I ask because after fulling charging mine and hunting for only a few hours and turning controller off, If I go to use it 4-5 days later, the battery is totally dead. Is that normal or do I have a battery problem ? Thanks...

I'd say your battery is getting weak.

Either that or the headphones have connected up to the coil again after the main control box was initially turned off, hence running the coil dead flat. Had that happen to my new 9" LF coil when it was in my car - was fully charged when it was placed in there only to find a few days later that it was dead flat again. I'm sure there was a fix for this in the newer software to prevent the headphone puck reconnecting to the coil so soon after the main controller was turned off.

I had the same problem a few months ago. Doing a software upgrade from ver. 5.2 to 5.21 took care of it.
I have not had any problems since upgrading.
